Congratulations on your acceptance into the University of Utah's Professional Master of Science program! This is your handbook for success during your first year.

Complete Enrollment Process

Before you are officially enrolled in classes, there are important University requirements. Please read through the following items carefully and make sure to complete each one.

Official Transcripts


Submit your official transcripts from each University you've attended if you haven't already. For transcripts to be considered "official" they must be submitted in one of two ways:

Hard-copy Transcripts


The institution must print and seal them. Delivery by mail directly from the institution to the address below or by hand. Make sure they are not printed more than 60 days before delivery.

Prepare for Your First Day

Create Your Student ID Card (UCard)


Students can apply for their Student ID card on campus or by uploading a photo through the website. It gets you a variety of discounts and services at the University of Utah, including:

  • the Library
  • Printing Services
  • Campus Recreation Services
  • Public transportation for most Utah Transit Authority (UTA) services

Your UCard can be used as a public transportation pass for most UTA services.

Parking


Commuter Services is the department dedicated to providing the campus community with a variety of transportation options. They work to ensure your campus commuting experience is a good one, regardless of how you travel.

Health Insurance


Students can sign up for student healthcare plans through the Student Health Center for an additional fee.

Welcome Session


Fall 2024 Virtual Welcome Session

You will receive an invitation email with a Zoom link.

Orientation Day


In-person Orientation will be held on the first day of class, Aug 19, 2024.

This is also the first day of fall semester.
